Our Mission
The Yeshiva University Journal of Medicine & Dentistry (YUMDJ) is a student-led publication founded by students with a shared interest in the medical and dental sciences. The journal serves as a platform for undergraduate and faculty scholarship, showcasing original research, analytical essays, and critical inquiry across a range of scientific disciplines.
YUMDJ aims to highlight the depth and diversity of research at Yeshiva University while fostering a culture of intellectual curiosity, collaboration, and academic excellence. Contributions come from students across Yeshiva College and Stern College for Women, reflecting a broad and interdisciplinary academic community.
By providing a space for emerging and established voices to share their work, the journal seeks to cultivate a deeper appreciation for the medical and dental sciences and to extend Yeshiva University’s mission as a true “wellspring of wisdom” to the wider scientific community and beyond.
